Our sincerest thanks to those who have made a donation to purchase the things money can buy to make Jimmy's life more tolerable. Money donated to support Jimmy is being used to supply nutritional foods, hygienic products, and under garments not supplied by the Russian prison system. The video above is a typical shipment sent to Jimmy every month. Your continued financial support helps keep Jimmy as healthy as possible until we can get our government to negotiate his freedom. We pray this will happen soon, but until that day, with your support we will continue doing all we can.

Just one more note on donations. Jimmy and his wife Elena have spent their last Ruble supporting Jimmy. She still lives in Moscow because she won't leave Jimmy alone in Russia. She was fired from her job when Jimmy was arrested and lives on a stipend from the Russian government. When Jimmy comes home he will have to find the resources to get her to America to be with him. Jimmy will have to start his life from scratch. Imagine beginning your life, not as a baby, but as a 50+ year old man with inherent responsibilities, and limited resources until he finds a job. He will need all the help he can get. Of course his parents will do all they can.

Contact your Federal Government Representatives

Ask them to speak out and champion Jimmy's immediate and unconditional release. Together we can help free Jimmy Wilgus. Thank you and God bless!

SAY A PRAYER

Prayer for a Prisoner

God of infinite mercy, look down upon Jimmy, your precious child; on this day which seems like every other day.

Sorrow remains his best friend, which includes among its attributes, loneliness, mental anguish, heartache and hints of despair.

Only you, Lord, understands his heart, his mind and the depths of his soul. Only you can comprehend the intensity of the cross he bears.

We bow before you and beg your intercession. Give James the strength of character to accept what he cannot change and to surrender fully to Your Providential care.

This prayer we offer through Christ, our Lord, Amen.

- Reverend John G. Hillier, Ph.D, Diocese of Metuchen, NJ
